Day 4 & 5 After Midnight on Day 6 – Adventures of the Bridal Party December 31, 2011

Okay so one of my very best friends is getting married very soon and I’m the maid of honor. Yesterday was bridesmaid dress shopping day. While it was amazing to spend quality time with my two best friends, I am still beat. Dress shopping was fruitful, and so we are almost ready for the big day! Guys, I had no idea how much I didn’t know about weddings until I was so close to one. I would give an example but 8 hours of dress shopping still has me. There should be a class on weddings, I know they make books but I feel like training for such a thing should be a hands-on experience, am I right? I’m having fun though and I am excited for the happy couple. And in the end you all can look forward to a fancy picture of me looking decent.

I am wearing a tank top from Costco, a thrifted Gap cardigan, thrifted jeans, Born flats from Marshalls, robot and hear necklace, and a belt that I stole from my parents that is really a money belt with a hidden zippered pocket but it has this weathered leather thing going on so I like it.

Today (the the 30th) was spent running around with my sister, doing laundry, walking my dogs, and doing bachelorette shopping research. To my trusty readers, do you have any thoughts or suggestions? I don’t think pulling something like in Very Bad Things or The Hangover would be a good idea.

Here I am wearing a hand-me-down cardigan, a Lands End belt that I got a church sale, thrifted jeans with a funky design on the back, Born flats, and my nail polish (not that it’s relevant) is like drag queen sparkle magenta. It’s really that amazing. Tried to take a picture but my camera was not doing it justice.

The glazed over look in my eyes should be an indicator of my mental state at this point in time. I am happy. I am like a glazed doughnut.
